EDNA G. CANLAS

Edna firmly believes that a strong business community united under one Chamber
will be the driving force for a progressive Subic Bay and works for it.
Edna is the Chief Operating Officer and General Manager of SUBICWATER. She started her professional career as a public servant in the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), where she worked for 16 years. She had been with SUBICWATER since year 2000, and steered the then three-year old private utility firm into one of the leading companies in the water industry today. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of SUBICWATER.
As her way of giving back to the community, Edna has been one of the Board of Directors of the Subic Bay Freeport Chamber of Commerce in the last four years. She is currently the SBFCC Treasurer and has chaired various committees in the Board – environment, membership, and human resource development. Edna is also a member of the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and a fellow of the Institute of Corporate Directors,
Her passion towards achieving organizational excellence, as evidenced throughout her solid professional career that now spans more than 33 years, her financial prowess, and her current role in ensuring sustainable water supply here in the Subic Bay Freeport Zone and in Olongapo City are what Edna offers to the SBFCC members and to the organization as a whole, for the advancement of the business community in Subic Bay Freeport.
