The International Coastal Cleanup Day is celebrated every 3rd Saturday of the month. It was initiated by Ocean Conservancy, a non-profit organization based in Washington D.C., in 1986. Its participated by more than 90 countries. The Philippines was the #1 country with the most number of volunteers in 2015. In 2016, the ICC was cancelled due to terrorist threat.
